Summer Brno and Christmas Brno tournaments
Thursday 9-ball
Every Thursday evening we play a 9-ball tournament on the lower floor of the Utopia Čajovna which is also completely open to the public and anyone who arrives on time and pays the entry fee can participate. Players from our club also participate in the tournament as it is not performance limited - making it ideal for those interested in improving their game by competing against more advanced opponents. The tournament has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, so there is no need to worry about poor placement or missed shots. Bringing your own cue is not necessary, as there are always local house cues available.
Tournament date: Every Thursday from 6:30 PM sharp
Location: Utopia Čajovna, Divadelní 3, Brno
Check-in time: 6:00-6:15 PM at the bottom bar (pool table number 113)
Entry fee: 200 CZK
Capacity: 32 players
Prizes: Prize money and trophies for best 3 of quarterly series
Tournament system: Double elimination
Tournament duration: Finals to be finished around midnight

Tournaments are played as quarterly series (12-13 tournaments in a row), where the overall series winner is determined by the sum of the five best results from individual tournaments. Financial rewards and trophies are awarded to the top three players in the entire series and are presented after the end of each quarter.
